What We Do

Helping people overcome addiction every day

The Teen Challenge GTA Women’s Centre helps women to overcome addictions by developing the whole person. Students learn character and leadership skills, positive health and recreation behaviours, they learn to express themselves through the arts and are given the opportunity to develop life skills.

This program also provides opportunities for students to learn planning and decision-making skills and to learn to contribute to Teen Challenge and the community.

Community Living

Within this 24-hour program up to 26 women live and grow together toward healthy lives free from addictions. Learn More

Helping young women and adults become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the greater society is the focus of these initiatives. Learn More

Health and Recreation

We develop our students’ ability to connect with affirmative behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults. Learn More

The Arts

This programs enables students to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, and performing arts. Learn More

Life Skills

These programs help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills. Learn More

Phase 4

Upon completing our year-long program, graduates are offered the opportunity to become Teen Challenge Interns. Learn More

Teen Challenge GTA Speakers Bureau

Teen Challenge Canada operates faith-based residential treatment facilities for women and men struggling with drug or alcohol addiction dependency issues. The 12-month program first began in the 1960's in Toronto and has since expanded to locations across Canada.
